My artwork is a vibrant dialogue between reclamation, craft, and the environment. I create bold, handwoven pieces using upcycled lobster rope collected from the rugged beaches of Maine. Each strand of rope—once discarded and left to tangle with the tides—is carefully gathered, cleaned, unraveled, and transformed into colorful and modern artworks.

Through this process, I invite viewers to reconsider their relationship with waste and to find unexpected beauty in the overlooked. The lobster rope, once a symbol of marine industry and environmental strain, is reborn as a celebration of resilience, color, and joy. My work serves as a reminder of the urgent need to protect our marine ecosystems and highlights the possibilities of creative reuse.

At its heart, it’s about finding hope—and a splash of color—in unexpected places.
